Mr. Komyati brings diverse strengths to the firm’s securities litigation, arbitration, and regulatory practice.  He focuses on securities, representing investment banks, broker-dealers and hedge funds in a variety of complex financial and commercial matters.  He appears on behalf of broker-dealers in customer disputes and regulatory action forums, and represents financial institutions in resolving complex controversies.  He has experience litigating matters arising from PIPE transactions and numerous types of securities including auction rate securities and preferred stock.

Mr. Komyati advises clients on their sales of restricted securities pursuant to Rule 144 promulgated under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended.  He also represents secured and unsecured creditors in troubled or failed transactions.

In his litigation/arbitration practice, Mr. Komyati has served as counsel for insurers, products liability defendants, and contractors in a wide range of commercial disputes.  He has also handled contractual employment disputes with experience defending sexual harassment and wrongful termination claims in both court and FINRA proceedings.

Since 2003, Mr. Komyati has served the New Jersey Superior Court, Special Civil Division, Morris County, as an official court Mediator.

Mr. Komyati is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a member of the Seton Hall Law Review and served as research assistant to the law school’s Professor Rachel Godsil.  A member of Seton Hall’s Student Tutorial Organization, Mr. Komyati served as student tutor for first-year law students.
