Ms. David concentrates her practice in trial and appellate litigation. She defends professional negligence claims asserted against lawyers, insurance producers, real estate agents, and other professionals in both state and federal courts. In commercial matters, she has adeptly represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex disputes ranging from civil rights to healthcare reimbursement.
Ms. David also provides proficient support to the firm’s Insurance Regulatory practice group. She has handled a variety of matters related to property-casualty and life insurance, annuity and health insurance, managed care, disability insurance, and reinsurance.
Active in the legal community, Ms. David serves on the New Jersey Supreme Court Civil Practice Committee. She has been certified by the Office of the Public Defender’s Pro Bono PCR Appeal Program, for which she represents defendants appealing the determination on their applications for post-conviction relief before the New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division.
Ms. David was formerly an investment analyst with J.P. Morgan Investment Management, Inc. (now a part of JP Morgan Chase & Co.) in New York City. At J.P. Morgan, she worked with portfolio managers in the Institutional Fixed Income Product Group supporting clients of the firm, including large pension fund managers.
A graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law, Ms. David was a member of the Civil Litigation Clinic for the Law School’s Center for Social Justice where she participated in the precedential case of Allah v. Brown before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She was a research assistant, a member of the law school’s admissions committee, and Treasurer, then President, of the Black Law Students’ Association. She is an alumna of the Bressler, Amery & Ross summer associate program for law school students.
