Mark Simms is an associate in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale, Florida office and focuses his practice on securities and financial services litigation. He focuses on the representation of broker-dealers and registered representatives in customer dispute arbitration proceedings before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Mark has experience defending corporate clients in complex commercial and tort litigation, including disputes concerning sophisticated alternative investment products and a multi-billion dollar securities class action litigation, as well as regulatory compliance matters in both state and federal courts.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Mark was a two-time recipient of the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement for Outstanding Academic Performance. While attending the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law during his second year, Mark authored a published Note for the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution. Mark received his undergraduate degree from Boston College, where he double-majored in Economics and Philosophy.
