On June 7, 2010, Richard Szuch will speak at The National Society of Compliance Professionals' ("NSCP") 2010 East Coast Regional Meeting on Detecting and Preventing Fraud.  Panel topics include: how to protect against misrepresentation, insider trading and front running; detecting market manipulation activities and rumor mongering; identity theft and the new FTC red flag rule; and fraud prevention techniques and education on how to recognize, react and report fraud (keys to prevention and detection).

On May 14, 2010, Eric L. Chase was a speaker at the Auto CPA Group Spring Meeting.  The topic was Auto Legal Issues.

On May 7, 2010 Andrew Sidman and Brian Amery will be panelists at the SIFMA Compliance and Legal Annual Seminar. Mr. Sidman's topics will include: preparation prior to notification of exam, notice of commencement of exam, handling the day-to-day examination, deficiency letter, response and follow-up, and specialized exams. Mr. Amery's topics will include: current status of the mandatory public panel pilot program, the impact of regulatory settlements on the private dispute resolution process, the new FINRA discovery guide, ARS claims, and financial industry issuer claims - "tech wreck" revisited.

On May 3, 2010, Bressler, Amery & Ross will conduct a breakfast seminar on how "The Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act" dramatically changes the laws controlling health plans. Now that the reforms have been signed into law, sweeping changes are coming to the health care system as a whole and that means new rules for employers, employer sponsored health plans, insurance companies, and the lawyers who represent them. This seminar provides an overview of the new regulations governing this new system.
