Tyrrell, Jr., has joined the firm’s Business and Litigation practice group as a Principal in the New Jersey office. Tyrrell focuses his practice on mass tort and catastrophic loss cases, product liability and class action litigation, and antitrust matters. His extensive and high-profile experience includes serving as lead counsel in the World Trade Center litigation, Agent Orange, Y2K, and Deepwater Horizon.

Prior to joining Bressler, Tyrrell was a partner in the New Jersey office of an Am Law 200 law firm. He has chaired or co-chaired the Mass Tort and Product Liability practice groups of four major law firms. With experience serving as lead counsel for some of the country’s highest profile litigations, he has become the “go to” attorney for large corporations facing complex litigation. Some of the matters that Tyrrell has handled include Y2K litigation (AT&T), Puerto Rico Environmental litigation (Exxon), PCB (Monsanto), Unintended Acceleration (Toyota), and ATA (Bank of China).
Tyrrell also boasts experience in antitrust, product liability, and consumer fraud class actions. His antitrust experience ranges from price fixing litigation and monopolization to mergers & acquisitions. Tyrrell received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Services (B.S.F.S. International Affairs; summa cum laude; ranked 1st in class; Phi Beta Kappa), and his law degree from Harvard Law School. He served as a Lieutenant in the Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps and was a law clerk for the Honorable Leonard I. Garth of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
