Taneka Campbell Larmond has extensive experience representing insurance carriers in first party property losses in state court.
Taneka's first party experience includes the defense of both homeowner as well as commercial property damage claims in a wide variety of areas including: hurricane related storm damage, water damage to residential property, structural damage to residential property, and fire losses. Through her first party and legal experience, to date, Taneka has developed strong litigation management skills as well as strong negotiation skills. She has previously worked at several law firms and represented clients in both pre-suit matters as well as full litigation matters. Taneka is currently part of the First Party Property Group of Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C.
Taneka earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica where she majored in History and minored in Political Science. Thereafter, she attended and graduated from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. While attending law school, Taneka was a Virgil Hawkins Fellowship Recipient and is also the proud recipient of two distinguished Book Awards. During law school, Taneka was a member of the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court; the U.F. Student Honor Court; the Horizon New Pathways Project and was a Law College Counsel Representative.
Taneka served as a Judicial Clerk for the Eighth Judicial Circuit, Family Law Division and was a Certified Legal Intern for the Gator TeamChild Juvenile Law Clinic.
Taneka is a member of the Florida Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
