Susan M. Kelleher is an associate at the firm who primarily concentrates in Securities Law. Susan focuses in arbitration and litigation that involve brokerage firms and registered representatives before federal and state courts, and self-regulatory organizations. She also represents individual clients and business organizations before state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York. In her regulatory practice, Susan assists clients in handling regulatory inquiries, internal investigations, and unclaimed property audits.
Susan also assists the firm’s Insurance practice group and Commercial Litigation group. As part of the Insurance practice group, Susan represents and advises client insurers and other insurance entities on a wide range of regulatory matters related to property-casualty, life and health, and insolvency. In her capacity as a litigator, Susan represents financial institutions, creditors, hedge funds, and private equity firms. Susan’s litigation experience includes, among other things, representing clients in connection with bankruptcy proceedings and affirmatively representing creditors’ rights and defending adversary proceedings. Susan also handles contractual disputes and general commercial litigation.
Susan received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law with a concentration in Health Law. During her legal studies, she was a member of the Family Law Clinic for the law school’s Center for Social Justice where she devoted legal services to indigents in need of representation in a wide variety of family law matters. As a member of Seton Hall’s Courtroom Advocates Project, she appeared on behalf of battered women in New York family courts. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology with honors from Lehigh University.
Susan is an alumna of the Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. summer associate program.
