Speaking Engagement

Principal Jordan Weitberg will speak at the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel (ACTEC) summer meeting in Boston on June 17, 2016. Jordan will participate in a presentation given to ACTEC’s Fiduciary Litigation Committee on the shifting of responsibility for payment of attorney’s fees in fiduciary litigation. Jordan will speak on fee shifting in undue influence cases brought in probate court in New Jersey. The New Jersey Supreme Court has in recent years issued four decisions on this subject, including a decision in April 2016.

ACTEC is an association of lawyers and law professors skilled and experienced in the preparation of wills and trusts; estate planning; and probate procedure, administration and litigation of trusts and estates of decedents, minors and incompetents.  Members are elected to the College by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience as trust and estate counselors. All ACTEC members have made substantial contributions to the field of trusts and estates law through writing, teaching and bar leadership activities.
