Speaking Engagement
07.21.2016

Principal Jordan S. Weitberg will speak at the Second Annual Estate Planning Summer Institute on July 22, 2016. The two-day program is presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education ("NJICLE") in cooperation with the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Jordan's session titled "Counsel Fees in Estate Litigation" will focus on the recovery of a litigant’s counsel fees from an estate or trust as well as the shifting of counsel fees to other parties in probate litigation.  Jordan will cover several cases recently by the New Jersey Supreme Court on the subject, including one just decided in April, 2016.

From the NJICLE website:
The 2016 Estate Planning Summer Institute features high-level topics and faculty. The institute will provide you with a comprehensive review of the issues not found in most other estate planning CLE programs (estate planning for businesspersons and foreign domiciliaries, and ethics). As part of the objective of refreshing areas that can expand one’s practice, sessions will review the generations skipping tax, elder care, trusts, portability and counsel fees.

CLE credits available.
