Former UBS Associate General Counsel Brings Significant Experience in Labor & Employment Law
Florham Park, N.J. – December 20, 2017 – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. announced today that John D. Miller, III has rejoined the firm as a Principal in its Labor and Employment practice.
Mr. Miller is a resident in the firm's New Jersey office. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Partner at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter and served as a Practice Group Manager for its Labor and Employment Group. Prior to that, he was at Greenberg Traurig as a Senior Associate.
Mr. Miller handles a variety of employment law matters in state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies, including the EEOC, and arbitration forums including AAA, FINRA and JAMS. He has litigation and counseling experience in numerous areas of employment law, including issues involving FMLA, FLSA, ADA, restrictive covenants, non-competition issues, harassment, discrimination, and whistleblowing.
Additionally, he has substantial experience successfully asserting claims against former employees for repayment of loans and promissory notes owed to the former employer. Mr. Miller has successfully defended management in class and collective actions and has handled numerous investigations by management into allegations of employee wrongdoing.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Miller was an Employment Litigation Associate at Bressler from 2005 to 2006. He has also worked in-house as Director, Associate General Counsel at UBS Financial Services Inc. from 2008 to 2010.
