Overview

Deanna R. Olivero is an associate focusing primarily in Commercial Litigation and Trust and Estate Litigation.

Deanna’s practice includes all areas of fiduciary litigation and trust/estate administration, including challenges to wills, trust and beneficiary designations; fiduciary accounting and breach of fiduciary duty claims; trust reformation and construction controversies; guardianships and elder exploitation matters; kinship hearings, and partnership/business owner disputes. Her clients include individuals and charitable beneficiaries, fiduciaries, corporate trust companies, and business owners. She represented New Jersey’s largest charity involving a multi-million dollar dispute regarding trust interpretation and has handled cases involving elective share issues, lack of capacity allegations, probating copies of wills, undue influence claims, tortious interference, and various other allegations arising out of an estate or trust.

Also, a member of Bressler’s business and commercial litigation team, Deanna represents litigants in breach of contract, premises liability, professional liability, products liability, and fraud matters in state court. Her federal court experience includes litigations involving products liability actions arising from the explosion of an oxygen cylinder, and issues arising from a Stock Purchase Agreement involving an 8-figure dispute about an earn-out period. Deanna also defends major hospital entities in New Jersey against premises and professional liability allegations. She has experience drafting and negotiating business formation/acquisition documents, including Operating Agreements and Membership Purchase Agreements.

Deanna is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey and New Jersey State Bar Association, and previously served as Law Clerk to the Honorable David H. Ironson, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris County, Criminal Division for the 2019-2020 term. 

Deanna earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law in 2019. While at Rutgers, she was the Senior Commentaries Editor and Alumni Reception Chair for the Rutgers University Law Review. She received her B.S., cum laude, in Sociology and Criminology from Florida State University in 2016 where she was a proud member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, and honored four-year participant and fundraiser in Florida State’s Dance Marathon in support of Children’s Miracle Network.
