Jaime Herrera is an associate in the firm’s Trusts & Estates and Tax groups. Jaime helps families, business owners and high net-worth individuals protect and transfer assets and wealth with careful planning, customized to each client’s unique situation. Jaime helps clients structure plans to optimize tax-efficient transfers, protect assets from creditors, and minimize future family tension and conflict.
Before joining BAR, Jaime was an appellate attorney with the Office of the Public Defender in New Jersey. She argued both plenary and sentencing appeals before the Appellate Division and represented the Public Defender’s Office as amicus curiae before the Supreme Court. Prior to working at the Office of the Public Defender, Jaime clerked for the Honorable Mitchel E. Ostrer, J.A.D. She graduated from Rutgers Law School cum laude and is currently pursuing an LLM in Tax from Villanova University.
