Overview
Melek Dunn is an associate in the firm’s Financial Institutions Law practice group. His practice focuses on defending broker-dealers and registered representatives in litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings.
An alumnus of the firm’s summer associate program, Melek joined the firm after receiving his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
While at Fordham Law, Melek worked for the Legislation and Policy Advocacy Clinic and for Professor Jed Shugerman and Dean Emeritus John Feerick as a research assistant. He was also a member of Fordham’s Dispute Resolution Society, competing in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Competition in Vienna, Austria. He served as the Society’s Arbitration Pre-Moot Editor and as a staff member on Fordham’s Intellectual Property, Media, and Entertainment Law Journal.
Prior to law school, Melek worked in hospitality management in New York City. He received his B.A. in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University.
