Miguel Fernandez is an associate in the firm's Miami office, where he focuses his practice on insurance defense.
Prior to joining Bressler, Miguel served as an Assistant Public Defender in the Miami-Dade Public Defender's Office. As an Assistant Public Defender, Miguel represented clients through all stages of criminal litigation at both the misdemeanor and felony level.
Miguel is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, cum laude, where he served as an editor on the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review and was a member of both the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board and the International Moot Court Board. Miguel was the recipient of CALI awards in Products Liability and in Legal Communication & Research II. He also received the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement Award in Mediation.
Miguel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Studio Music & Jazz and Music Business from the University of Miami in 2015.
