Overview

Milor Laya-Perdomo is an Associate in the firm's Insurance practice area in our Fort Lauderdale office where he litigates first-party property damage insurance claims.

Prior to joining Bressler, Milor worked as an Attorney Advisor in the Executive Office for Immigration Review of the United States Department of Justice, where he provided legal counsel to Immigration Judges in the interpretation of complex areas of the Immigration and Nationality Act and criminal matters. In this role Milor conducted legal research and drafted judicial opinions and orders.

Milor received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, and his B.A. from Florida Atlantic University. During his time in law school, Milor participated in the National Health Law Transactional Moot Court competition in Chicago, and received Gold Pro Bono Service Award. He is also fluent in Spanish.
