On Wednesday, June 16, 2021, Joelle Simms will speak on a panel hosted by the Florida Securities Dealers Association (FSDA), in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The panel, Elder Financial Exploitation: Real World Issues, Solutions and Resources, will discuss the importance of the financial advisor/client relationship in combatting exploitation, romance scams, the dangers of seniors with no family (and solutions), how minority communities are affected by exploitation, and House Bill 813.
