Bressler attorneys Alise Johnson Henry and Joelle Simms will speak at the Third Annual Southeastern Women in Financial Services (SWIFS) on May 15, 2018 at Raymond James Headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL. 

  • Joelle Simms will moderate a panel on "Examining the Gender Gap in Litigation and Compliance." The panel will review trends and experiences with the gender gap across different sectors of the financial services industry – FINRA arbitrations, court litigation, expert witnesses, mediators/arbitrators, firm in-house counsel and management, compliance, SEC, law school, and recruitment. The panel will also offer opinions and discuss potential reasons as to why the gender gap continues to persist and possible solutions to narrow the gap.
  • Alise Henry will moderate a panel on "Get the Most From Every Post – The Ethical Use of Social Media."  This panel will provide an overview of social media trends, the Rules of Professional Conduct, issues in litigation, labor and employment, regulatory and compliance, and best practices relating to social media.

SWIFS is a network of corporate counsel and outside legal advisers in the financial services industry.
