Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C., a nationally recognized, fast-growing law firm, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Associate or Counsel to join our Florham Park, NJ office. We are looking for a Senior Associate with 8-10 years of experience in commercial litigation and insurance coverage. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of managing multifaceted cases, from inception through resolution, and providing strategic counsel to a diverse range of clients. A key aspect of this role will involve drafting sophisticated opinion letters, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive grasp of legal precedents.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage complex commercial litigation matters, including all phases of discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Provide expert legal analysis and strategic advice on a wide array of insurance coverage issues.
  • Draft comprehensive and well-reasoned opinion letters on complex legal questions related to insurance coverage and commercial disputes.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and client advice.
  • Collaborate effectively with partners, other associates, and clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Mentor and guide junior associates, contributing to the firm's collegial and supportive environment.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications: 

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active and in good standing Bar admission in New Jersey is required.
  • 8+ years of experience specifically in commercial litigation and insurance coverage.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting clear, concise, and persuasive opinion letters.
  • Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professional integrity and a commitment to client service.

Salary range $165,000 - $210,000 (or potentially higher depending upon qualifications and other factors). Salary range does not guarantee, obligate, or set expectations of an applicant’s salary in the event of hire. Actual compensation will depend upon several factors, including the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications and skill set.
