Florham Park, N.J. – May 14, 2020 – The law firm Bressler, Amery & Ross today announced that Evan Yablonsky has been named Chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. The move is part of an ongoing commitment to succession planning, growth and development as younger members of the firm join the ranks of Bressler leadership.

Among Mr. Yablonsky’s goals as head of the committee are to provide first rate legal services to low income communities, help those in need, and foster community relationships.  Mr. Yablonsky intends to do this through pro bono collaborations with existing clients across the firm’s offices throughout East and Southeast.

Bressler has a long history of support for pro bono services. With strong ties to organizations such as Partners for Women & Justice, New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, and Volunteer Lawyers for Justice, Bressler attorneys routinely represent victims of domestic violence, the indigent, and our nations veterans.

“I am honored to be named the new Chair of the Pro Bono Committee at Bressler,” said Mr. Yablonsky. “It’s a privilege to be part of a firm with a culture that promotes giving back. Pro bono is a fundamental part of who we are at Bressler.”

Bressler Managing Principal Frank Cuccio said the timing of Mr. Yablonsky taking over as chair of the Pro Bono Committee was fortuitous. “There is going to be a greater need and demand for pro bono legal services in light of coronavirus. Evan is the perfect fit to lead our efforts in this area and further demonstrate Bressler’s commitment to helping to close the justice gap.”

Added Mr. Yablonsky, “I hope to grow and further develop Bressler’s pro bono efforts. We will be looking to strengthen our current pro bono relationships, and to forge new opportunities in conjunction with our clients’ interests. We will also continue to encourage our attorneys to perform pro bono work for those most in need within the local communities we serve.”

“Bressler is committed to serving as a responsible corporate citizen in the communities where the firm’s lawyers live and work,” noted Mr. Cuccio. “Giving back is a firm value and a chosen responsibility. Our dedication to community service and pro bono work spans our network of offices, directly benefiting our local communities.”

Mr. Yablonsky joined the firm in June 2014 and was promoted to principal in 2019. His practice includes commercial litigation, insurance coverage and managed care litigation. He has over ten years of litigation experience overseeing a wide range of cases in both federal and state courts throughout the country. That experience includes being lead counsel in over 15 jury trials as well as taking hundreds of hours of trial, motion and deposition testimony. Mr. Yablonsky is admitted in New Jersey and New York and is based in the New Jersey office.

Before joining Bressler, he was an assistant public defender in New Jersey. Mr. Yablonsky earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2008 and his B.A. from the University of Delaware in 2005.
