Oklahoma City, OK - (October 27, 2025) – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is proud to announce the launch of its new Tribal and Federal Indian Law Practice following the firm’s recent expansion into the Southwest with the opening of a new office in Oklahoma City earlier this year. This continued strategic growth demonstrates Bressler's ongoing commitment to serving a wider range of clients and enhancing its presence in key markets across the country.

The new practice is led by Principal Jennifer Lamirand, a citizen of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and an accomplished attorney with a decade of experience in tribal law, federal Indian law, and gaming, as well as securities, contracts, and insurance defense litigation. Lamirand also serves as an Associate Justice on the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Supreme Court, reflecting her dedication to both the law and her heritage.

“Jennifer’s leadership exemplifies the connection between culture, community, and advocacy,” said Principal Tara LaClair, a leader in establishing Bressler’s presence in Oklahoma. “Her expertise and insights provide a unique and authentic perspective that enriches our work and enhances our ability to serve clients across various jurisdictions and communities.”

The addition of this practice area and the opening of the Oklahoma City office represent significant milestones in Bressler’s organic growth and diversification. This expansion enhances the firm’s capabilities in financial institution and securities litigation, complex litigation, regulatory and enforcement matters, and compliance consulting, while also deepening its understanding of the unique legal issues affecting Native American tribes and their business partners.

Lamirand expressed her enthusiasm for the continuation of her practice in this area at Bressler and its significance, stating, “For me, practicing law, especially in Oklahoma, provides an opportunity to meaningfully contribute to our shared community. Leading a Tribal and Federal Indian Law practice within a firm that values both excellence and inclusion is deeply meaningful. This work allows us to honor tribal sovereignty and history while assisting clients in navigating the complex and evolving legal landscape that connects tribal, federal, and state legal systems.”

Active in both her profession and community, Lamirand has previously served as Chair of the Oklahoma Bar Association Indian Law Section and provided pro bono services for Oklahoma Indian Legal Services and Public Counsel of Los Angeles. She is licensed in Oklahoma and California and holds degrees from Oklahoma State University, Notre Dame Law School, and the London School of Economics and Political Science.

“With our new presence in Oklahoma and the launch of this practice, we are not only expanding our geographic reach but also our cultural and legal perspective,” said LaCLair “This step strengthens who we are as a firm. Bressler is diverse, dynamic, and deeply committed to excellence and inclusion.”
