NEW YORK, NY (February 2022) – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to announce that New York Principal Thomas A. Roberts has been named Office Managing Principal of the firm’s New York office. Roberts succeeds Mark Knoll, who transitioned from private practice after more than a decade of service with Bressler.
Roberts is a highly regarded attorney with demonstrated leadership experience and deep connections across the New York business community and beyond. His legal skills, industry expertise, law firm administration experience, and overall disposition make him an ideal candidate for the role.
“I am eager to serve the firm in this new role,” said Roberts. “It is an exciting time for Bressler, full of growth and new strategic initiatives. I’m proud to be a part of it and look forward to building on the firm’s reputation for excellence and serving the New York community with pride.”
A principal in the Financial Institutions Practice Group and a member of Bressler's Marketing Committee, Roberts has served as a trusted advisor to firm attorneys, staff, and clients for many years. His comprehensive knowledge of the firm’s New York office, coupled with his broad understanding of law firm management, gives him invaluable insight and perspectives to help guide the office's long-term business initiatives and growth strategies.
“I look forward to working with Tom in his new role,” said Diana C. Manning, Firm Managing Principal. “We are confident that he will continue to leverage our long-held strength in financial services and commercial litigation to drive the firm's continued growth in this crucial market.”
In addition to the duties of Office Managing Principal, Roberts will continue his practice representing broker/dealers and their registered representatives in regulatory investigations and actions commenced by the SEC, FINRA, and State Securities Commissioners. Roberts also represents clients in the telecommunications industry and health plan service providers in litigation and regulatory matters. He serves as general counsel to the boards of several trade associations, providing corporate governance and antitrust advice.
Added Manning, “We will miss Mark Knoll at the firm and wish him luck in his new endeavor. We also look forward to a very positive next chapter for Tom Roberts at Bressler, and are excited to see what the future holds for our New York office under his leadership and guidance.”
