FLORHAM PARK, NJ (May 22, 2025) – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is proud to announce that firm principal Diana C. Manning has been sworn in as the Second Vice President of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) during its Annual Meeting and Convention. The NJSBA is the largest professional organization for judges, lawyers, and legal professionals in the state. Manning is on track to become President of the NJSBA in 2028. In addition to her role as a member of NJSBA’s Executive Committee, Manning serves as Chair of the Civil Trial Bar Section and has served as Chair of the Amicus Committee as well as Chair of the Judicial and Prosecutorial Committee.

Manning was the first female managing principal at Bressler. Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, she leads the firm’s appellate, business and commercial litigation, legal ethics, and compliance practice groups. She is also appointed to the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. She is also a former Chair of the District XA Ethics Committee, where she served for ten years, and is a past President of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, the Morris County Bar Association, and the Morris County Bar Foundation.

Manning’s distinguished career has earned her recognition from various professional and legal organizations. She received the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Rutgers School of Law Newark Alumni Association. Her accolades include the Trial Bar Award from the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, the Civil Practice Award from both the Essex County and Morris County Bar Associations and is a three-time recipient of the Professional Lawyer of the Year Award from the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law. She is also a fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Manning is regarded for her extensive involvement in presenting and writing about business litigation, legal ethics, products liability, and professional liability. Notably, she authored the New Jersey chapter of "The Law of Lawyer’s Liability: Fifty-State Survey of Legal Malpractice." She is an experienced appellate practitioner, handling eight matters before the state Supreme Court, including arguing five times and appearing as amicus curiae in several significant cases.

She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York and received her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and her B.A. from Rutgers College.
