BIRMINGHAM, AL, January 5, 2015 - Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to welcome David P. Donahue to the firm as a principal and Donald F. Winningham, III as counsel in the firm's Litigation Department.
David has extensive experience in representing insurance companies in a wide variety of matters. He regularly represents life, health and disability insurers in contestable claim, bad faith, sales practice, fraud, interpleader, agent debt, STOLI, 412(i)/419 and ERISA litigation matters filed nationwide. He also routinely represents insurance carriers in coverage disputes.
David, a Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated lawyer, has been listed in Alabama Super Lawyers in insurance law since 2012 and is a frequent speaker on insurance and litigation topics.
Donald F. Winningham maintains an active litigation practice which includes contractual disputes, products liability and life insurance litigation. Donnie also specializes in the defense of brokerage firms and other financial institutions against claims asserted by customers as well as representing for-profit educational institutions in various matters. Donnie has litigated in a number of forums, including the state and federal courts of a number of states as well as in FINRA and AAA arbitration. Donnie has been recognized as a Rising Star in Alabama Super Lawyers – Rising Stars, 2012-2014.
