FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (April 2022)Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to congratulate Miami Office Managing Principal Hope C. Zelinger and Counsel Randi Perry Spallina on their features in the Daily Business Review’s 2022 Florida Legal Awards. The awards program recognizes lawyers who have made a significant contribution to the state’s legal community.

Zelinger is recognized among the “Distinguished Leader” honorees. The category identifies legal leaders who have demonstrated leadership skills that have helped their firm achieve successful results. Spallina is recognized as a 2022 Unsung Hero, a category that honors those who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes on critically important legal work.

Zelinger is a Principal in Bressler's Insurance Litigation practice and co-leads the firm's largest team, Florida's Insurance Group. In 2020 she was promoted to Managing Principal of the Miami Office, making her the youngest Managing Principal in Bressler's history. In March of 2021, she was promoted to serve on the Executive Committee of the firm, assisting in making major decisions for the firm. Under her leadership, Bressler has significantly expanded its first-party property insurance business throughout Florida. She is directly responsible for the team’s strategy and growth, and plays an integral role in the groups expansion. Zelinger also works proficiently with the many department leaders at the firm and manages the day-to-day operations of the Miami Office. In addition to her practice, Zelinger also serves on the Leadership Council of the I Care I Cure Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Spallina is a member of Bressler’s Financial Institutions Practice in Fort Lauderdale. For approximately 25 years, she has represented pro bono clients in guardianship, conservatorship, and adoption proceedings. She also volunteered for Florida Justice Teaching, a program that pairs attorneys with public schools to promote an understanding of Florida’s justice system. Spallina serves as a guardian ad litem (GAL) for the Broward County GAL Program, advocating for the best interests of abused and abandoned children in dependency court. She also works with the Dade County Legal Aid Put Something Back Program, where she has assisted several pro bono clients in probate proceedings and received the Outstanding Pro Bono Probate Award from Dade Legal Aid for her contributions.
