FLORHAM PARK, NJ (May 2021)Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is proud to announce that New Jersey Principal Brian J. Ellis has been elected as Chair of Schreyer Honors College Scholar Alumni Society Board’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.  His term will begin July 1, 2021, and runs through June 30, 2023. The Scholar Alumni Society Board is the governing body of the Scholar Alumni Society, an affiliate group of the Penn State Alumni Association.

“I am honored to have been given the opportunity to chair the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee of the Scholar Alumni Society and contribute to its success in developing and fostering equal opportunities for scholars from underrepresented communities,” said Ellis. “In working with the committee, I look forward to making a lasting impact that helps our global community.”

Ellis is a principal in the firm’s Financial Institutions, Litigation, Cybersecurity/Data Privacy, and Cannabis practice groups, and regularly appears in state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey, including at the appellate level, to advocate on behalf of his clients. Ellis represents broker-dealers, associated persons, hedge funds, and other financial services professionals, as well as corporate and individual contenders in arbitrations and mediations throughout the United States. In addition, Ellis is often called upon to advise businesses and individuals in various states seeking to participate in the legal cannabis industry. His broad litigation experience includes favorable resolutions to disputes involving regulatory compliance, employment relationships, trust and estate matters, intellectual property rights, general commercial transactions, and data privacy issues.
