This annual list recognizes the 50 most influential attorneys in private practice, public service, corporate law departments, and nonprofit organizations in New Jersey. Manning and the other honorees in the Law Power List are celebrated for their exceptional guidance, professional services, and commitment to shaping the legal industry in the state.
Manning has held many leadership roles at the firm, including serving as the first female firmwide managing principal. She is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and leads the firm’s appellate, business and commercial litigation, legal ethics, and compliance practice groups. Earlier this year, she was recognized on ROI-NJ’s Influencers Power List in the category of Law, further underscoring her influence as a leading lawyer in New Jersey. With more than three decades of strategic, thoughtful, and fearless advocacy for her clients, she has made a significant impact within Bressler, the legal community, and the broader state, paving the way for women to advance in the legal profession.
Manning is actively involved in the legal community. She is currently serving as the Second Vice President of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), the largest professional organization for judges, lawyers, and legal professionals in the state, and is on track to become President of the NJSBA in 2028. In addition to her role on the NJSBA’s Executive Committee, Manning serves as the Chair of the Civil Trial Bar Section, and she has also chaired the Amicus Committee and the Judicial and Prosecutorial Committee. She is also appointed to the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Manning is a former Chair of the District XA Ethics Committee, where she served for ten years, and she has held the position of President of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, the Morris County Bar Association, and the Morris County Bar Foundation.
She is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York and holds a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, as well as a B.A. from Rutgers College.
