BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (January 2021)Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is proud to announce that Managing Principal Josh D. Jones has been appointed to The Literacy Council of Central Alabama’s Board of Directors.

“I am honored to have been given the opportunity to join The Literacy Council of Central Alabama and contribute to its continued success in improving the lives of local families through literacy education,” said Jones. “In working with the Council, I look forward to making a lasting impact.”

Jones is a principal in Bressler’s financial institutions group where he focuses on defending broker-dealers and investment advisers against claims asserted by their customers and employees, regulatory investigations, and enforcement actions. He also has substantial experience litigating and negotiating on behalf of lenders in a broad variety of matters, in general litigation before the state and federal courts of Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee, and in class action defense. Jones also serves as a co-manager of the firm’s senior & vulnerable investor group, whose lawyers provide end-to-end advisory solutions and litigation support to various financial institutions confronting issues regarding seniors and other vulnerable investors.

The mission of The Literacy Council of Central Alabama is to improve the lives of local adults and their families through literacy education that teaches people to read, write, and speak English. Its various programs on basic literacy and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) provide educational opportunities to enable adults to pursue their goals, reach their full potential, and help their families thrive.
