FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (April 2021)Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to congratulate Lauren Fenton-Valdivia on her selection for the DBR – Florida Legal Awards, Diversity and Inclusion. Fenton-Valdivia is a principal of Bressler, Amery & Ross and chair of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

The award from the Daily Business Review recognizes lawyers who have made a significant contribution to diversity and inclusion efforts in Florida’s legal community and have helped their firms make substantial progress in improving diversity and inclusion. 

“I am thrilled to have been recognized for this award,” said Fenton-Valdivia. “I look forward to working with firm leadership to increase Bressler’s recruitment and retention of diverse individuals and to continue to educate the entire firm on the importance of and the business case for increasing diversity and inclusion.”

Fenton-Valdivia will represent Bressler, Amery & Ross at the Daily Business Review’s Legal Awards dinner on May 19, 2021.

Fenton-Valdivia took over as chair of Bressler’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee in 2020 and immediately impacted the firm with her vision and execution of diversity and inclusion initiatives. In her first month as chair, she drafted Bressler’s first Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Plan and has diligently worked to implement it ever since.

With a diverse litigation practice, Fenton-Valdivia routinely represents corporate clients in state and federal court and has experience handling complex litigation, including commercial disputes, employment litigation, professional liability and environmental matters. She has experience in all stages of litigation, including handling complex written discovery, fact and expert depositions, and the oral argument of high stakes motions. Fenton-Valdivia has served as trial counsel for numerous corporate clients in state and federal court, trying cases to verdict, and in various arbitration proceedings. She also has experience in large scale, multi-district class action matters.
