Florham Park, NJ (April 1, 2024)Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is proud to announce that firm Managing Principal Diana C. Manning has been named a 2024 NJBIZ Leaders in Law honoree and Associate Paola Toro has been named a 2024 NJBIZ Leaders in Law Rising Star honoree.

The 2024 NJBIZ Leaders in Law honorees include legal professionals and firms whose dedication to the industry and to their communities is outstanding. Honorees were chosen by a panel of independent judges with experience in the justice system. The Rising Star category is new to the awards program this year and includes individuals with seven years or less of legal experience who show extreme potential to be an industry leader in the next few years. A celebration highlighting these professionals will take place on May 14 at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset.

Manning serves as Bressler's first female firm Managing Principal and leads the firm's Appellate and Business and Commercial Litigation practice groups. Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, Manning has participated in six matters before the New Jersey Supreme Court. Active in the legal community, Manning serves as Secretary of the New Jersey State Bar Association, a Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation and Vice Chair of the NJSBA Civil Trial Bar Section. Manning is also a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court-appointed Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct, past Chair of the NJSBA’s Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee and past Chair of the District XA Ethics Committee.

In addition, Manning is a past President of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, Morris County Bar Association, and the Morris County Bar Foundation, and served on the Board of Trustees for CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties, Inc. and Literacy Volunteers of America-Bergen County.

Toro focuses her practice on representing clients nationwide on all aspects of environmental law in state and federal courts, particularly in the areas of CERCLA/Superfund and cost recovery litigation. Toro’s practice includes defending companies in government-initiated litigation, as well as complex private party recovery actions. Active in the community, Toro serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Sustainable Jersey, Chair of the Social Committee for Justice Stewart G. Pollock Environmental American Inn of Court, and is a member of the Environmental Law Section for the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey Society of Environmental Women Professionals, and the New Jersey Hispanic Bar Association.
