Overview
Josh Goodman is an associate in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office where he is a member of the Insurance Litigation Group. He focuses his practice on insurance and commercial litigation matters throughout the state of Florida, with a specialization in representing property insurers in residential and business insurance lawsuits involving a wide range of losses, including hurricane and windstorm claims, water damage and plumbing failures, flood losses, and disputes arising from emergency mitigation and repair services, amongst others.
Josh zealously advocates for clients throughout the various phases of litigation, including discovery, mediation and arbitration, and dispositive motion hearings. He also provides coverage analysis and conducts pre-suit investigations for carriers. In addition to insurance defense litigation, Josh assists with complex commercial litigation disputes involving specialty finance companies and insurance-backed lenders. Josh brings a business approach to each of his cases and provides strategic counsel as to litigation risk and financial exposure to reach successful outcomes.
Josh received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law as a Dean’s Merit Scholarship recipient. Prior to law school, Josh graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During his time at Emory, he was a four-year varsity tennis player and 2017 DIII National Champion.
