Cynthia Borrelli authored a chapter on "State Contract Issues" as part of a Practising Law Institute multi-volume set on Securities and Corporate governance.
The chapter primarily addresses state regulation of variable life insurance and annuities products with particular emphasis on product filing, replacement, free-look and other state law required contents for variable insurance products, which constitute securities under both state and federal authorities. Thus, they are governed by both state and federal regulatory schemes.
