Angela Turiano, Kathryn Dietrich Perreault and Christy Boardman will present at the American Bar Association's 2021 Women in Litigation Joint CLE Conference, taking place from November 17-November 19, 2021 in Boston, MA.

On Thursday, November 18, Kathryn will moderate a breakout session titled, 2021 Securities Litigation and Enforcement Year in Review. The panel, consisting of securities regulators and litigators, will take a look back at 2021's significant legal developments in regulatory enforcement and private securities litigation, as well as explore some of the key cases, statistics, and outcomes for the SEC's Division of Enforcement in 2021. Kathryn also sits on this year's Conference Planning Committee.

Also on Thursday, Christy will moderate a breakout session titled, Diminished Capacity Issues in Financial Services Disputes: What Litigators Need to Know. Panelists will discuss the unique challenges that arise when litigating competency issues in the financial services space and strategies for navigating disputes involving the elderly, other vulnerable clients, and even financial professionals experiencing capacity issues.

On Friday, November 19, Angela will moderate a breakout session titled, We've Come a Long Way Baby - Or Have We? Examining the Gender Gap in Financial Services Litigation. With gender inequality still prevalent in the legal profession, female underrepresentation is particularly pronounced in the financial services sector whether in the courtroom, arbitration forum, general counsel positions, or among the expert witness and mediator ranks. This session's panel of female securities and financial legal professionals will address this gender disparity, explore the reasons for it, and discuss ways in which we can work together to close the gap.
