Principal Fred Schoenbrodt will be chairing and moderating a panel entitled “Cross-Border Giving: The Law and Practice of International Philanthropy in the 21st Century” at the Fall Conference of the ABA’s Section of International Law in Miami, Florida on October 27, 2017. The panel will discuss tax and non-tax aspects of international charitable giving and grant making, the impact on international philanthropy of the Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) standard, and modern philanthropic tools including program related investments (PRIs) and mission related investments (MRIs) in international charitable efforts.

ABA Section of International Law’s 2017 Fall Conference will take place from October 24-27, 2017. The theme for the conference is “Doing Business in the Americas in the New Global Economy: A New Dawn in the Hemisphere.”
