Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. announced today the promotions of Ronald J. Campione, Dennis E. Kadian, Jonathan C. Schwartz and Jaime H. Scivley to principal and Brian J. Ellis and David I. Hantman to counsel.  The promotions were effective January 1.

Ronald J. Campione joined the firm in August 2006. His practice focuses on complex litigation and transactional matters involving business law, franchises, employment, construction, trademark, copyright and deceptive practices. He has represented clients in a variety of matters, including mass and class actions. Mr. Campione earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1999 and his B.A. from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 1991. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Washington DC and is based out of Bressler’s New Jersey office. 

Dennis E. Kadian joined the firm in August 2006. He has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, including breach of contract and fiduciary duty, insurance, and business torts. Dennis regularly represents insurers and claim administrators in actions related to commercial insurance products and recurring issues raised by policyholders. He also represents large self-insured employers faced with substantial risk retention in workers compensation matters. Mr. Kadian earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2003 and his B.S. from Creighton University in 1990. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York and is based out of Bressler’s New Jersey office. 

Jonathan C. Schwartz joined the firm in August 2009. Jon represents brokerage firms, investment banks, hedge funds, and registered representatives in customer disputes, regulatory actions, and expungements. He also serves as counsel to international and domestic companies and entrepreneurs in complex commercial matters involving contracts, warranties, product liability, negligence, fraud, fiduciary duties, and consumer protection. Mr. Schwartz earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2007 and his B.A. from The George Washington University in 2004. He is admitted to practice in Florida and New York and is based out of Bressler’s Ft. Lauderdale office. 

Jaime H. Scivley joined the firm in February 2014. Her practice areas are Securities Litigation and Securities Industry Regulation. She specializes in the defense of brokerage firms and financial institutions against claims asserted by customers in state and federal court and in arbitration proceedings throughout the United States. Ms. Scivley received a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law in 2008 and a B.A. in 2004 from the University of Alabama. She is admitted in Alabama and works in the Birmingham office.

Brian Ellis was a member of Bressler’s 2007 Summer Associate Program and joined the firm as an Associate in August 2008. He concentrates his practice in the firm's Securities Litigation and Regulation group, advocating on behalf of broker-dealers, associated persons, hedge funds, and other financial services professionals. He has appeared on behalf of, and successfully defended, businesses and individuals before state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey, including at the appellate level. Mr. Ellis earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 2008 and his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University in 2002. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. 

David I. Hantman joined the firm in September 2007. His primary area of practice is securities litigation and arbitration. He represents broker-dealers and registered representatives in these forums, as well as in investigations and regulatory enforcement actions. Mr. Hantman has played a central role in defending firms against such investor claims as misrepresentation, fraud and unsuitability. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a risk consultant conducting corporate investigations and served as a consultant in the hedge fund industry, providing operational support and consulting services to hedge funds and fund of funds. Mr. Hantman earned his J.D. from New York Law School in 2007 and his B.S. from Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 2000. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York and is based out of Bressler’s New York office.
