The new hires span the firm’s Alabama, Florida, and New Jersey offices.

 Florham Park, NJ (January 23, 2023) – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to share that attorneys Lorrie L. Hargrove, Michael C. Guarino, Alexander M. Bachik, Gabrielle Crawford, Alexandra N. Lazcano, Jordyn J. Quinn, Margot DeKorte Lewis, Paola Toro, and senior industry professionals Cassandra Jackson, Pamela Byron-Davidian, and Renée Rubino, Esq. have recently joined the firm.

Birmingham, Alabama

Lorrie L. Hargrove joins as a principal in the labor and employment practice group where she has built a national litigation practice. She has represented clients in class action litigation, civil RICO litigation, appellate litigation, insurance and financial services litigation, and product liability matters. Her experience includes defending hundreds of class action opt-out cases for Fortune 500 companies all over Alabama. Upon graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable William M. Acker in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Hargrove earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of law in 1993 and received her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland.

Michael C. Guarino joins as counsel in the labor and employment practice group, where he works closely with employers to provide regular advice and counseling, policy drafting, and workplace training. He has defended employers in arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and state and federal courts and has vast litigation experience in issues related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues, breach of contract, and co-employee claims. Prior to joining Bressler, Guarino practiced at a national labor and employment boutique. Guarino earned his J.D. from the Samford University Cumberland School of Law in 2012 and received his B.S. in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Auburn University in 2009.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Alexander M. Bachik joins as an associate in the insurance defense practice group. He earned his J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in 2021 and received his B.A. in business administration from the University of Dallas.

Gabrielle Crawford joins as an associate in the insurance defense practice group. She earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2022 and received a B.S. in commerce and business administration from the University of Alabama.

Miami, Florida

Alexandra N. Lazcano joins as an associate in the insurance defense practice group. She earned her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2020, where she was a President’s Scholar, and graduated with B.A. degrees in English and International Affairs, magna cum laude, from Florida State University.

Jordyn J. Quinn also joins as an associate in the insurance defense practice group. She earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2021, where she received the Dean’s Full Tuition Merit Scholarship, and received her B.A. in marketing from the University of Miami.

Florham Park, New Jersey

Margot DeKorte Lewis joins as an associate in the private client practice group. She focuses her practice on estate planning and administration. Prior to Bressler, Lewis worked on corporate matters, closely held business succession planning, and estate planning. She also worked as a staff attorney at a boutique estate planning firm, where she drafted wills, durable powers of attorney, and health care directives. She earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2001, an M.A. from the Boston University School of Social Work, and a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross.

Paola Toro joins as an associate in the environmental law practice group. Prior to Bressler, Toro represented municipal and private clients before state and federal regulatory agencies on environmental matters including regulatory and compliance counseling and enforcement defense, site remediation, environmental litigation, and transactional due diligence. She earned a J.D. from the Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2017 with a certificate in environmental law and received her B.A. in criminology from Hofstra University.

Cassandra Jackson joins as the Managing Director of Operations. She brings over 20 years of experience providing leadership, management, and office administration to law firms and non-profit organizations. She is an MBA candidate at the University of Maryland where she also earned a B.A. in criminal justice and an associate degree in paralegal studies.

Pamela Byron-Davidian joins as the Director of Billing Operations. She was at her previous firm for almost 28 years, where she served as the Director of Financial Systems Data and oversaw billing operations, numerous software transitions and upgrades, and month-end reporting. She earned a B.A. in economics from Rutgers College, New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1988.

Renée Rubino, Esq. joins as a Business Development Specialist. Prior to joining Bressler, Rubino practiced law for over 20 years before serving as her previous firm’s Marketing and Business Development Partner. Rubino earned an MBA and fully transitioned into law firm business development. She earned an MBA from Centenary University in 2022, a J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 1994, and a B.A. from East Stroudsburg University, summa cum laude, in 1991.
