Florham Park, NJ (May 2022)Brian F. Amery, Co-founder and Chair Emeritus of Bressler, Amery & Ross, will be honored as a recipient of the 2022 ICON Awards from NJBIZ, New Jersey's leading business journal. 

The ICON Awards recognize professional leaders 60 years of age and older for their exemplary careers and commitment to their respective fields and the larger New Jersey business community. Amery is among only 41 recipients from across New Jersey, including law firm managing partners, company founders, board members, CEOs, and other business executives of organizations in the legal, financial, tech, real estate, and other industries. Amery, along with the other class of honorees, will be recognized at the annual awards program on June 28 in Somerset, New Jersey.

As a Principal in the firm’s market-leading Financial Institutions practice, Amery has had countless notable career achievements and exceptional contributions to the New Jersey legal profession in his near half-century of practice. Amery has helped executives pursue fundamental changes for their organizations and achieve high-level strategic objectives. He is a seasoned trial attorney who has successfully defended dozens of high-stakes securities disputes across the country, including several of the most prominent cases involving millions of dollars in alleged damages.

Amery served as Firm Managing Principal for ten years, spearheading Bressler’s evolution from a boutique New Jersey-based securities firm to a national, multi-disciplined full-service law practice. During Amery's tenure, Bressler became one of the largest firms in the State and forged its national presence, opening new offices in New York, Florida, Alabama, and Washington, D.C. Under his strategic direction, Bressler developed a nationwide reputation, receiving numerous national honors, including Law360 Top 400, Chambers U.S.A., U.S. News Best Law Firms, and National Law Journal 350.

“Brian is a passionate leader and paragon in the profession. His five decades of truly remarkable contributions to New Jersey and its people make him even more than deserving of this recognition,” added Manning.

In the community, Amery dedicates his time and support to several community-based organizations, including regional non-profits, the Tri-County Scholarship Fund, New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, Adopt-A-Student Foundation, and The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He also actively participates in several charitable organizations, especially causes aimed at making a difference in the lives of children in need.
