Joshua D. Jones to be Honored as a Children’s Hero by Childcare Resources
Birmingham, AL – August 6 2019 – Bressler, Amery & Ross’ Joshua D. Jones, Managing Principal of the firm’s Alabama Office, will be honored with the 2019 Award of Distinction by Childcare Resources (CCR).
CCR is a Birmingham, Alabama based non-profit organization whose mission is to make quality care and education of children happen by providing information, education, and assistance to families, providers of childcare, and the community.
“The group’s mission is critically important to our community, and me,” said Mr. Jones, a longtime supporter of CCR, who served two terms on group’s Board of Directors after two terms on the Junior Board.
The Award of Distinction honors community heroes for their longstanding support of children and families across the Greater Birmingham community. Mr. Jones was selected as only the second recipient of this Award.
“I am proud to do my small part to ‘make quality childcare happen,’ and feel such a special privilege to be recognized by Childcare Resources, said Mr. Jones. “I have spent more than a decade volunteering with CCR, and have witnessed first-hand what it means to make a real difference in our community through service. My time with CCR was very meaningful to me,” he said.
The Award will be presented during the group’s Fairy Tale Ball on August 24, 2019. The Fairy Tale Ball, being held at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham-The Wynfrey Hotel, draws nearly 800 guests and community leaders each year. It is regarded as the premiere family gala benefiting families in Central Alabama and features food, wines and spirits, activities for children, and a silent auction.
“I appreciate the hard work that the staff does daily and want to thank them and the agency’s many current community volunteers for this award,” Mr. Jones added.
