Florham Park, NJ (May 2022)Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to congratulate Principals Cynthia J. Borrelli and Loren L. Pierce on their selection to the NJBIZ 2022 Leaders in Law.

Borrelli and Pierce, and the other class of honorees, were selected for their outstanding dedication to their occupation and communities. The honorees will be recognized at the annual awards program on May 24 in Somerset, New Jersey.

I know firsthand the profound impact they've had on the New Jersey legal community through their work," said Firm Managing Principal and 2021 NJBIZ Leaders in Law honoree Diana C. Manning. "Their tremendous efforts, without question, make them deserving of this recognition, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments.”

A longtime leader at Bressler, Borrelli serves as head of the firm’s Insurance & Healthcare Regulatory Compliance and Transactional practice group. In her practice, Borrelli provides quality legal advice relating to property/casualty and life, annuity and health, managed care, disability insurance, and reinsurance matters, emphasizing transactional matters, regulatory proceedings and litigation, and insolvency regulation. Her practice focuses on regulation and compliance for insurers, agents, brokers, investors, managed care entities, and trade associations in the property/casualty and life and health areas. Borrelli is intricately involved in working on legislation impacting the New Jersey insurance industry. She is a member of the Board of Directors and past Chairman of the Federation of Regulatory Counsel. She also sits on the Board of Ambassadors of the National Health Law Program. Borrelli is active in the Public Regulation of Insurance Law Committee within the ABA and is a former Committee Chair. Within her local community, she has served as a mentor through NJ Law and Education Empowerment Project (NJ LEEP) and continues to support the program.

Pierce is a principal in Bressler’s Business and Commercial Litigation practice group. Her practice is focused on commercial, insurance coverage, and employment litigation. She also has experience litigating environmental, class actions, construction, and fraud matters. Pierce also counsels corporate and non-profit clients on commercial matters and has prepared corporate-wide policies relating to compliance, employment, and electronic discovery issues. Pierce is an active volunteer in the legal community. She is a current member of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association Board and previously held positions including President, President-Elect, Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer. Pierce was recently appointed as a Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation. She also serves as a student mentor with NJ LEEP. Nationally, Pierce serves as a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and Litigation Counsel of America.
