Overview
Christopher Vaughan is an associate in the firm's Financial Institutions practice group. Currently in his fifth year at Bressler, Chris has assisted in or has personally handled dozens of FINRA Arbitrations regulatory inquiries, as well as multiple state and federal court litigations.
Chris has also spearheaded the firm's expansion into the Digital Assets space. Utilizing his eight years of experience in the Cryptocurrency markets, Chris has represented over 60 individual clients in federal court matters concerning their cryptocurrency transactions. The bulk of his digital assets practice has been in his participation in the Celsius Bankruptcy proceedings, where Chris is currently litigating before Chief Judge of the Southern District of New York's Bankruptcy Division, the honorable Martin Glenn. Chris continues to monitor all developments related to Cryptocurrency's evolving treatment by Congress and regulators.
An alumnus of Bressler's summer program, Chris earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Prior to joining Bressler, he interned at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, the Queens District Attorney’s Office, as well as multiple law firms. While in law school, he was a Board Member for the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Program (he now coaches Trial Advocacy to current Fordham law students) and participated on the Moot Court Board, the International Law Journal, the Media & Entertainment Society, and the Board of Student Advisors. He served as Team Captain for Out of the Darkness Walk, placing in the top 10 in fundraising for the New York City Walk and top 25 in national fundraising. He received his B.B.A. in History and B.B.A. in Spanish from the University of Georgia.
