Overview
Joel Sharp is a Principal in the firm’s Litigation practice group in Dallas. His practice focuses on corporate and securities litigation, complex commercial disputes, fiduciary litigation and arbitration.
For more than 30 years, Joel has represented businesses, investors, and other stakeholders in the Texas state and federal courts, in a wide array of complex business and investment-related litigation and arbitration. His clients have included companies and individuals in the financial services, private equity, energy, healthcare, accounting, insurance, real estate, and brokerage industries. He has successfully prosecuted and defended claims such as fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, theft of trade secrets, veil piercing, fraudulent transfer, failures of corporate governance, False Claims Act (FCA), and officer and director liability issues.
Joel also regularly represents clients in arbitrations conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and private arbitration forums.
Joel’s practice has been centered in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and he has litigated extensively in the state and federal courts throughout Texas. He has also handled arbitrations in various forums in Texas and in other jurisdictions across the country. Joel joined the firm from the Dallas office of a major national firm, where he was a litigation partner.
