Birmingham Business Journal’s NextGen award program aims to recognize young leaders under the age of 40 in the metro Birmingham area. Honorees are selected based on their contributions to their companies, their influence within their industry, their potential to become key leaders in their field, and their involvement in the community, among other criteria.

Wilson is a Counsel in the firm's securities practice group, focusing on defending brokerage firms and financial institutions against customer claims in state and federal courts and arbitration. Katie is Co-Chair of the Education Committee for Southeastern Women in Financial Services (SWIFS), where she leads educational programming and the annual symposium to support women in the financial industry. She has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for the past four years and actively mentors younger attorneys while promoting opportunities for women in law and finance. Katie earned her law degree magna cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Law and her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College.
