Fort Lauderdale, FL (April 30, 2025) – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to announce that Associate Attorney Taylor J. Bandy has been appointed as Secretary to the Florida Securities Dealers & Advisors (FSDA) Executive Board. Bandy was installed on April 11th, 2025.
Since 1933, the FSDA has been the voice of the Florida securities industry, committed to achieving fair and balanced regulation and legislation of the industry. The FSDA focuses on regulatory, legislative, and judicial developments, representing broker-dealers, investment advisors, mutual funds, insurance companies, and other securities firms across the state of Florida.
“I am honored to serve as Secretary of the FSDA Executive Board,” said Bandy. “I am eager to embrace this role and support the organization’s mission of advocating on behalf of the securities industry and expanding education opportunities for its members and Florida's investing public.”
Bandy is an associate in the firm's Financial Institutions practice area. She is also part of the firm’s Senior and Vulnerable Investor Group, where she provides comprehensive advisory and compliance solutions, along with litigation support for investment advisers and broker-dealers dealing with issues related to senior and vulnerable investors. Bandy frequently presents on topics related to senior and vulnerable investor issues, such as scams affecting this demographic elder law, and other related subject matters.
Before joining Bressler as an associate, Bandy worked with the firm as a summer associate and law clerk, focusing on financial institutions and first party insurance defense. While earning her J.D., she served as a Legal Intern and a Legal Fellow at the University of Miami School of Law’s Investor Rights Clinic, an organization dedicated to the pro bono representation of investors in securities arbitration claims against broker-dealers before FINRA.
Bandy received her J.D., cum laude, in 2020 from University of Miami School of Law, and her B.B.A in 2017 from the University of Miami in Accounting, with a minor in Legal Studies.
