Overview

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and colleague, Mark McMenamy, who passed on  February 25, 2024.

A Principal of the firm since 1988, Mark McMenamy was a highly experienced civil trial lawyer who focused on personal injury litigation.  He had been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, a prestigious recognition that has been obtained by fewer than 2% of the attorneys who practice in New Jersey. His practice involved injuries, or deaths, that have been sustained in a variety of manners, whether by way of automobile accident, slip and fall, premises liability, construction site accidents, medical negligence, occupational exposure, product defect or other workplace or on-the-job injury.  He had an excellent command of medicine and enjoyed cross-examining his opponents and their witnesses at depositions and in the court room, where he had recovered millions of dollars for his clients over a career that had spanned decades.

During law school, Mark served as an Editor of the Rutgers Law Review. Upon graduating from law school, he clerked for the Honorable Herman D. Michels, former Presiding Judge of the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey.  Through his appellate clerkship and his years in private practice, Mark had acquired excellent appellate skills and had successfully argued many appeals.
