Overview

Rachael Segal is an Associate in the firm's Commercial Litigation practice group. She has extensive experience working as an intern and law clerk in New Jersey’s Supreme, Appellate, Trial, and Municipal courts, allowing her a unique perspective on judicial decision-making. Before joining Bressler, Rachael gained experience as a law clerk for Judge Clarkson S. Fisher, Jr., P.J.A.D., at the New Jersey Appellate Division, and as an associate at a well-respected commercial litigation firm. She additionally received extensive statutory drafting experience as a Legislative Law Clerk for the New Jersey Law Revision Commission that she brings into each experience working with statutory language.  

Her experience includes leading teams on complex discovery issues, intense research, advising clients on anticipated outcomes, drafting pre-litigation documents and motions, and performing successful settlement negotiations in cases involving issues such as contract disputes, workplace issues, insurance coverage, will challenges, and special education law.

Rachael received her J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers Law School, where she served as IT Editor of the Rutgers Law Record. During her second and third years of law school she provided legal assistance to local families as a member of the Education and Health Law Clinic. Upon graduation, she was the recipient of the Chief Justice Richard J. Hughes Prize for excellence in NJ Practice as well as the Eric R. Neisser Pro Bono Service Program Award for the completion of over fifty hours of law-related service through the public interest program during law school.

Rachael holds a B.A., summa cum laude, from William Paterson University’s Honors College, where she triple majored in Legal Studies, English, and Political Science.
