Florham Park, N.J. (January 2021)Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to announce that it has promoted eight attorneys to principal or counsel, continuing its tradition of recognizing and rewarding its attorneys’ dedication to delivering high-quality service to its clients.

Ranked among the National Law Journal’s NLJ 500 and Law360’s Top 400 Largest Law Firms, Bressler has more than 150 attorneys in nine offices across six states and Washington, D.C. The promoted attorneys practice in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Florida offices, the Charlotte, North Carolina office, as well as the  Florham Park, New Jersey and New York City offices.

Risa D. Rich has been elevated to counsel. Rich concentrates her practice in trial and appellate litigation. She represents national and regional enterprises in broad-ranging and complex disputes related to personal injury, professional liability, insurance, healthcare, and commercial transactions. She practices in the firm’s Florham Park and New York City offices.

Linda M. Berns has been elevated to principal. An attorney in the firm’s insurance group, Berns focuses her practice exclusively on the representation of insurers in first-party property claim disputes. Berns’ practice includes pre-litigation claims investigation, including examinations under oath and coverage evaluations, and the defense of litigated insurance claims through Trial.  She practices in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.

Brian J. Ellis has been elevated to principal. An attorney with a wide array of capabilities, Ellis supports the firm’s financial institutions, litigation, cybersecurity/data privacy, and cannabis practice groups. He practices in the firm’s Florham Park and New York City offices.

Seth J. Feintuch has been elevated to principal. An attorney in the firm’s Florida insurance litigation group, his practice focuses primarily on the representation of insurers in first-party property claim disputes, including the defense of litigated claims, as well as assisting insurers in pre-litigation claims investigations and evaluations. He practices in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.

Austin L. Flickstein has been elevated to principal. Flickstein is an attorney in the firm's insurance practice area and concentrates his practice on insurance defense litigation. He has worked exclusively in insurance defense since his time as a prosecutor at the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office. He practices in the firm’s Miami office.

Michael J. Morris has been elevated to principal. An attorney in the firm’s insurance and healthcare regulatory, and corporate and commercial transactions practice groups, Morris represents insurance and healthcare industry clients in transactions and business endeavors subject to regulatory scrutiny, effectively advocates for clients in contested regulatory matters, and provides trusted counsel to a broad spectrum of clients in the formation, growth, operation and disposition of their business. He practices in the firm’s Charlotte and Florham Park offices.

Leonel Peraza Jr. has been elevated to principal. With a practice that includes securities, financial services, and commercial litigation and arbitration, Peraza focuses on representing broker-dealers and registered representatives in sales practice and employment disputes, and in regulatory matters. He practices in the firm’s Miami office.

Michael A. Shifrin has been elevated to principal. Shifrin is an attorney in the firm’s Insurance and cannabis practice groups.  As a civil litigator, Shifrin has served in roles as both in-house and outside counsel representing clients ranging in size from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.  His experience includes counseling clients on a variety of matters including pre-suit investigations, arbitrating and mediating coverage disputes, and all phases of litigation including trial and appellate work.  In addition to his experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, Shifrin also assists clients with assessing risk management, coverage analysis and developing cost-effective and solution-oriented outcomes. He practices in the firm’s Miami office.
